Charles Stross started writing sf at the age of 12. He has worked in a variety of jobs, including pharmacist, freelance journalist (lots about perl and linux) and technical author. His first professional sale was "The Boys" in 1986. Born in Leeds, England in 1964, he currently lives in Edinburgh, Scotland.
