	Orbital Weapon Lancet (OWL)
A kinetic energy weapon placed in Earth orbit. (Read

"Why bother with a chemical (I assume by chemical it's meant to be something like Tritonal, or TNT) warhead at all? The cost to develop/test/manufacture a fuse fast enough to work at 12Kmph, let alone develop a protective covering for the warhead to prevent premature detonation is prohibitive. Keep it simple, a solid rod with a guidance system in the rear, using GPS or INS is all you need."

"I think the author's intent is to use the Lancet as a penetrator, to get the warhead deep into a buried bunker."

"This weapon is referenced in the new Dan Simmons novel, entitled "Flashback." In the novel, it is referred to as a "gee-bear" and named after the "name of the American [sci-fi] writer who came up with the idea for this particular technology.""

"That's great! I'll find a quote and put it in, unless someone can get one for me."
