And look what we're doing. Also, there are real problems associated with terminator seeds; there are no real guarantees that the sterility trait won't 'jump the fence' and become part of the genetic makeup of nearby plants. This problem has happened before; wind-blown corn pollen can pollinate crops up to 600 feet away.
