| "Johnny Mnemonic from William Gibson" (Peter jacobs 6/22/2011 4:01:37 PM) |
| "Strange Days a 1995 film, directed by Katherine Bigelow, starring Ralph Finnes and Angela Bassett - the film featured a device called a SQUID -superconducting quantum interface device, that would record experiences on a Sony Minidisc of all things, and play it back -anything - including snuff, etc. Unfortunately for the LAPD, a prostutute was wearing one when she witnessed them gunning down a famous rap star; the film is set in the futuristic year of 1999, in L.A., where it is about to turn 2000." (Joe 2/14/2012 8:26:16 PM) |
| "I remember that. In the film, the SQUID (Super-conducting Quantum Interference Device ) receptor rig recorded not just video; it was able to record your complete sensory experience.
