Comments on Prairie Dogs Can Talk, Says Scientist
According to Dr. Slobodchikoff, Professor of Biology at Northern Arizona University, prairie dogs are capable of referential communication. (Read the complete story)

"Whole new angle as reported on dailygrail.com:
"Prairie dogs found to talk using the most sophisticated language in the animal kingdom. Kinda makes them look more sinister when they pop up out their hole and look at you with their beady eyes, doesn't it?" ;)"
(Bill Christensen 4/8/2005 7:31:00 AM)
"make a sight were i can email someone this dur"

"This is when we all start using gopher traps on them...."
(vagina 4/11/2005 6:16:48 PM)
"This seems like a stretch. But some day maybe they will because of natural selection and evolution. (I hope so! I've always wanted to talk to prarie dogs!) "
( 4/12/2005 6:04:02 AM)
"I like prairie dogs "
(Josh Swinney 4/12/2005 6:49:36 AM)
"I think this is creepy. If prairie dogs have language, then how smart must rats be? The prairie dog is probably just a dumb hick compared to a New York City rat.... "
(Nimadan 4/12/2005 3:33:08 PM)
"First learn Spanish. Then French, Italian, German, and finally Prairie Dog. Wait... what????"
( 4/13/2005 1:46:49 PM)
"can i have some photo of prairie dogs!"
(jenny 5/10/2005 11:56:05 AM)
"I knew it! I totally knew it! I have seen prairie dogs in action before, and my friends and I stared for 20 minutes watching them eat, run, and talk! Every two seconds they'd do the "Praise the Lord" movement and bark. I knew they were intelligent. "
(Corey T 6/30/2005 1:02:27 PM)
"As sophisticated as prarie dog communication is, it should be noted that the information content contained in the dance of regular honey bees is just as remarkable: http://www.answersingenesis.org/creation/v17/i4/bees.asp The act of creating or forming a language either requires that the users be extremely intleigent, or that the langauge is pre-programmed. (i.e. instinct, computer code, etc. Great article!"

(Allen 7/9/2007 7:21:16 PM)
"As a native Kansan, complete with my non-evolving Bible belt and cotton socks, I think "Prairie Dog Rapture" is the funniest thing I have seen in a long time. Can I just hook it off this site and add it to my own? That'd be easiest. "
(ChewMouse 7/16/2007 5:11:28 PM)
"Pigs were taken to the US primate research centre and proceeded to play complex computer games with abstract logic to receive food. When the primate researchers stated the pigs were trained, they were asked to source their own pigs. The new pigs watched the game once then proceeded to work through all the increasingly difficult and visually different games to receive food.No dog or primate was able to display the math intelligence of a pig."
(Simon V 3/7/2009 6:57:51 PM)
"Praire dogs can recognise individual humans by name, also what they are dressed in and the color, what direction they are coming from and whether they are running or casually walking. Also what object they are carrying and if they are appearing aggressive or just sociable. They can relay this information back to the pack."
