"Does any one recall Robotech? At one point in the series, there was a "point of impact shield" that was controlled by three girls on the bridge or something. They could controll an engery field of a set size at any point on the SDF1 frame. And they could move these shields to any point on the SDF1 and put it in the way of a projectile, thus keeping a hit from taking place. Just something I happened to remember is all."
