Comments on Frank Herbert's Odalarm - Scent-Based Alarm Clock Update
In his 1977 novel The Dosadi Experiment, Frank Herbert wrote about an "odalarm" - an alarm clock that worked by scent. You can buy one now from Hakugen Online. (Read the complete story)

"How to buy the clock?"
(Svilena 1/10/2005 12:29:37 AM)
"I want one of these! Odors can wake me (or keep me awake) so this would be an effective alarm clock personally, and so much more pleasant than a jarring tone or even the sometimes startling start of music from a clock radio. Maybe they'll start selling them in the US if they're a hit in Asia. "
