Phone Dial Web Browser

David Lu's Phone Dial Web Browser ought to get some sort of William Gibson award for the most retro geeky device. It's a web browser that uses a rotary phone dial as an interface. This is just too cool.

(From David Lu)

To go to a website, you dial the IP address; dots are entered by pressing a button (not on the dial). Go to the Phone Dial Web Browser website to see details. Just dial 64.78.51.83 to come back to Technovelgy.com.

For a quick look at a typically retro William Gibson device, see the talking head from his classic 1984 novel Neuromancer - "...it was a baroque thing for anyone to have constructed, a perverse thing..."
