E-paper You Can Write On From Seiko Epson E Ink
E-paper you can write on is the result of a collaboration between Seiko Epson and E Ink. The user is provided with a stylus, so human being can return to their cuneiform-writing roots.

One eye-opening advance with this device is the very speedy processor and associated electronics, which allow 50 cycle per second refresh rates along with screen resolutions of up to 2048 x 1536 pixels.
This is just the kind of technology that Hari Seldon would have used on his calculator pad (from Isaac Asimov's 1951 novel Foundation):
Seldon removed his calculator pad from the pouch at his belt. Men said he kept one beneath his pillow for use in moments of wakefulness. Its gray, glossy finish was slightly worn by use.
