3rd Space Vests Lets You Feel Game Hits
TN Games 3rd Space Vests do more than simply indicate you've been hit in a video game; you feel a realistic blow from the vest itself.
(TN Games 3rd Space Vests)
TN Games patented impact-generating 3rd Space technology utilizes a quiet and durable air source to fire 8 pneumatic cells embedded in the vest. The cells are designed to simulate the direction and force of bullet fire in a first-person shooter (FPS) game. In addition, a wide array of sensory experiences, from crushing explosions to fear-inducing finger taps on the gamers' shoulders, can be experienced with the 3rd Space FPS Vest.
The earliest reference to this idea that I can recall is the interactive World Domination game played in the James Bond remake Never Say Never Again. The game controllers are electrified; when the player makes a bad decision, the voltage increases. If a player lets go of the game controllers, he loses.
(World Domination game from Never Say Never Again)
TN Games is not the only group working on this idea.
