Fatal Vision Goggles - Simulate Impaired Driving
Fatal Vision Simulator Goggles are designed to help you see poorly. They simulate the experience of driving while under the influence of alcohol or other drugs. The view through the goggles is reasonably clear, but special optics provide a loss of equilibrium, a typical effect of intoxication.

The company provides the following description of the effects of the goggles:
The Fatal Vision Black Label Goggles demonstrate the effects of binge or high-risk drinking. These goggles have an estimated BAC [blood alcohol concentration - ed.]of .25+. At this extreme impairment level the ability to drive has long been surpassed, and the dangers of blackouts and loss of consciousness are probable.
SF readers may recall that Rudy Rucker, in his 1988 novel Wetware, refers to a twist-box, a device that accepts sensory input, fiddles with it, and then passes it on to the cerebral cortex. More info here.
