GeckoSystems introduced their CareBot MSR 3.8 personal care robot today. The device can watch over elders or the kids, patrol the home and run errands inside the house for 8-14 hours on a single battery charge.

According to GeckoSystems, the owner can customize CareBot. The robot's voice cadence can be changed along with its volume. The response phrases for recognized words can be colloquial or unique to the family's heritage. The robot's personality can be altered to suit the needs of the owner.
The robot can also be used remotely by family members to look in on elders or children in the home. CareBot can remind elders to take medication or tell children when to start homework. It can be programmed verbally or via the computer desktop.
