Levi-Table is a neat project by designer Donald Dahl. Yes, it hovers - because it is levitated by powerful magnets.

I like floating furniture - and so did Kurt Vonnegut, who wrote about the idea in his 1959 novel The Sirens of Titan.
The office was spookily furnished, since none of the furniture had legs. Everything was suspended magnetically at the proper height.
