Life-Size Tachikoma Robot Vehicle
A life-sized tachikoma robot has been built by Japanese engineers. Called the "personal edition" it can seat one person, who controls it with a joystick.

The device is limited to a rather small 60 kg individual; the vehicle has a camera on the outside with projects the view on the spherical cockpit inside.
