X-Brat is an autonomous robot under development for the Mech Warfare Competition scheduled for Robogames 2010.
Mech Warfare is a robotic competition unlike any seen before.
[Their] goal is to create a real-life robotic combat competition that mirrors the scenarios found in Sci-Fi universes such as Battletech, Warhammer 40k and Armored Core.
This competition will pit participants against each other, piloting custom designed 1/24th scale robots- armed with Airsoft weapon systems and higher end weapons such as micro rockets, flame throwers and CO2 projectile weapon systems.
Take a look at this 'work in progress' video; once X-Brat sees the target, it's all over.

The creator of X-Brat is known only as Xdream, a principal engineer at a firm in Phoenix, AZ.
"Second auto tracking test.....still occasionally shooting blanks. I'm only using the left gun for testing purposes. I need to fix the ammo hoppers which are not properly loading all the rounds and you can see the ammo hopper fall off at the end of the video. Tracking and shooting seem to be working well."
