DreamROBO Climbing Robots
These silver-suited robots have been seen climbing walls at the Japan Industry Pavilion.
(DreamROBO )
Japanese participants designed humanoids that can climb the 50-foot walls by hooking onto the structure itself, which is composed of white tubes. The three “DreamROBO” climbers, each about 4.5 feet tall, are tethered to the roof. It takes them some time, about 20 minutes to go up and down, which they do from 9 a.m. to midnight.
Didn't I see the same stunt in the excellent 1984 film Runaway, starring Tom Selleck and Gene Simmons. Michael Crichton wrote and directed the movie.
