KMR-M6 Hexapod Robot
The KMR-M6 robot from Kondo is a six-legged robot kit designed to attract educators, researchers and hobbyists. The company claims that their unique leg design improves flexibility and stability even during extreme maneuvers.
Take a look at KMR-M6 in the short video below; I was impressed by its quick movements.

One servo controls the leg horizontal rotation while the second servo powers the leg linkage vertically. The unique linkage design was inspired by the company founder's long experience and know-how in designing similar mechanisms for the R/C control systems that made the company so well known in the hobby airplane and model world for decades.
Fans of Michael Crichton's 1985 movie Runaway may recall the spider robots. Take a look at the following video to see the trailer from the movie; hexapod robots appear at the one-minute mark.
