Foldable Galaxy Phones, I Swear They're Coming (Maybe)
I swear, someday there will be a foldable phone; I keep reporting that they're almost here, and I totally believe it. Totally.
Samsung is going to do it in 2018, releasing it under the Galaxy Note brand mark. Of course, they were going to do it earlier; here's the 2014 concept video.

Dongjin Koh, president of mobile business at Samsung told reporters at a news conference in South Korea there are still hurdles to overcome and release would be pushed back if they’re not resolved.
“When we can overcome some problems for sure, we will launch the product,” said Koh. “We are digging thoroughly into several issues we must overcome, as we don’t want to just make a few, sell a few and be done. We want to hear that Samsung made a very good product,” Koh said. “We have a plan to adopt a foldable display in our roadmap.”
An sfnal example of a larger, rollable display is the poster tv from Larry Niven's 1976 novel A World Out of Time. See also the pocket-sized polycarbon phone screen from Idoru, a 1986 novel by William Gibson.
