Prufrock-3 'The Monster' Ready To Launch
The Boring Company's latest digging machine Prufrock-3 is ready to launch, by which they mean that it requires no site preparation - just let it start digging!
This thing is really cool, but I implore The Boring Company to consider the aesthetics of this design from Ed Earl Repp's 1929 Science Wonders Stories yarn The Metal World:
OTOH, if you're digging a straight-down shaft, you can't beat the heat machine from The Onslaught From Venus, by Frank Phillips, published by Science Wonder Stories in 1929:
(Heat machine from 'The Onslaught From Venus' by Frank Phillips)
"Here we see ... one of their heat machines is turning out molten lava made from rock and earth, and which later will be used to make building blocks for these invaders."
