Futuristic Transit Elevated Bus Never Really Worked

I was pretty excited to hear that somebody tried the transit elevated bus idea in real life; here's a cool sfnal take from 1949:

Now here's a good try from China about a decade ago:

Sadly, it never quite worked and was dismantled.
