Implantable Covid-Detecting Microchip Developed By DARPA
No, it's not really a microscopic GPS chip, and no, you can't get it in your Covid-19 vaccine.
It's a little microchip, one of a long list of DARPA projects (some of them are doozies), that can actually detect the presence of the virus in your bloodstream.

Retired Army Col. Dr. Matt Hepburn, an infectious disease physician, revealed that the microchip, which is not in widespread use outside the Defense Department, could detect COVID-19 in an individual well before a patient zero spawns an outbreak.“We challenge the research community to come up with solutions that may sound like science fiction,” said Hepburn, whose role at DARPA, he added, is to “take pandemics off the table.”
The microchip, embedded in a tissue-like gel, is designed to continuously test the chip recipient’s blood for presence of the virus. Once COVID-19 is detected, the chip alerts the patient to conduct a rapid blood test, which can be self-administered, to confirm the positive result.
Fans of science fiction author William Gibson are not surprised by this development, having read his 1984 cyberspace blockbuster Neuromancer:
M-G employees above a certain level were implanted with advanced microprocessors that monitored mutagen levels in the bloodstream.
