Lrry-1 Fire-Breathing, Riding MechaDog Video

Lrry-1 is a fire-breathing, walking mechanical dog motorcycle brought to you by the Mutoid Waste Company. Well, you look at the video and you tell me what you think it is.

Lrry-1 is made entirely from scrap, which is making me take a good look at my trash to see what I've been missing.

Lrry-1 was built in just four weeks - quick prototyping seems to be the rule for these guys. It is powered by a Citroen 2CV engine. It even has a radar detector.

Oh, and Lrry-1 breathes flames.

I can't decide what to reference for this post-apocalyptic semi-walking personal transportation device. Try looking at the entry for the robass from Anthony Boucher's classic 1951 short story The Quest for Saint Aquin.

He... took his first opportunity to inspect the robass in full light. He admired the fast-plodding, articulated legs, so necessary since roads had degenerated... the side wheels that could be lowered into action if surface conditions permitted...
