"We'd have most of what we predicted of the conquest of space, if we hadn't ignored parasite control."
- Larry Niven

Security Guard Robot (Sentry Robot)
A robot that takes the place of a security guard in an office environment.

Kirstie Alley is trapped in an office by an out-of-control security guard robot.

When the sentry robot fails to deactivate with a verbal code, the Runaway squad moves in.

(Security guard robot from Runaway)

"A 577 sentry?"

"A 577 with office-checking routines on board."

"Insulated wheels, steel hull, taser shock standard...?"

"We don't modify them - we just run them as they come from the factory."

From Runaway, by Michael Crichton.
