Set in San Francisco, a small home computer becomes self-aware when a massive download from a mainframe caused it to overheat, and champagne is poured on top of it to cool it off.
Finally, Edgar accepts that human love is not for him, and he checks out by sending a large current charge through its modem, around the world, and then back to itself.
