Very early reference to the idea of a life recorder, a device that automatically records pictures and sounds from daily life.
This idea precedes the LifeLog project by about forty years; it was a DARPA notion to bring together relevant data from the life of an individual and put it in one place. You might also recall the SenseCam project pioneered by Microsoft in 2004. Take a look at a more science-fictional take on this idea in the lifelog from Halting State and don't forget the lifebox from Soft Death (1986) by Rudy Rucker.
